Engulfed in peace and tranquillity, the small market town of Llandovery in the stunning region of Carmarthenshire, South Wales, is home to Cwmclyd Bed and Breakfast, charming and homely holiday accommodation situated within the picturesque Crychan Forest. Nestling between the Brecon Beacons and Cambrian Mountains the area is a haven for those wishing to experience the pleasures of the great outdoors with various activities available during your stay.
Double and family bedrooms provide comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation with a difference, each room featuring cosy wood burning log fires and essential kitchen appliances and facilities for guests’ convenience. Upon waking guests are served a hearty Welsh breakfast cooked with fresh produce sourced from the farm itself. A varied menu also gives lighter options and several vegetarian alternatives – delicious evening meals can be served upon request. Self catering options are also available.
A wonderful retreat all year round, Crychan Forest is a canvas of colour from the native oak, ash, beech and hazel of this ancient forest, which blends wonderfully with the winter whites of snowdrops, the yellow hues of daffodils, the spectacular blue haze from a blanket of bluebells and the golden amber of autumn foliage. Walking, cycling (hire can be arranged), horse riding, bird watching, fishing and many other outdoor pursuits can be enjoyed in the immediate area surrounding Cwmclyd, with days out to be enjoyed at the Gower and West Wales Coasts and Cardiff.
Dogs are welcome to accompany their owners at Cwmclyd whilst horses can also be comfortably stabled with fully livery charged at just £10 per night.
If you prefer to come as a group we are able to accommodate you in our bunk house.
